"Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain."
-Unknown
There's something about the rain that just delights me. Well, water in general. But rain is special in it's own way. The more of it, the better! And it has so many different feelings. Okay, that sounds just a little bit crazy. But dear reader, there is no way you can say you haven't felt the power in a thunderstorm. There's all sorts of feeling in rain! The days it pounds into the earth demonstrating just how much water is up there. Or that never-ending drizzle that sorta drowns the world, and maybe your spirits with it. Then the rain that just makes you want to curl up under a heavy blanket, with a book that stays open on its own, and a good cup of tea. Snow can make the world stop for a minute, silencing all but the beating heart. The sun can warm your bones. But only rain has so many moods. I'd like to challenge you. The next time it rains. Truly rains. Step outside in it for just a minute, tip your face towards the dark sky, throw your arms out, and spin barefoot in the downpour. It's the sky saying hello.
"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet."
-Bob Marley
I totally agree. Rain, and thunderstorms, are my favorite. I've been told by many people that when I see lightning, or there's a thunderstorm coming, I light up like a little kid on Christmas. Though, lately I haven't been feeling the rain, just getting wet.
I'm excited to hear more about your stories and see more blog posts.
